What registries do people use for their showers, and have you been happy with them?

I'd like one that allows you to list different things from different places (ie. not one based on a particular store). Ideally, I'd also like people to feel free to buy/regift used items, but still have some place to indicate that they've gotten that item (so I don't get 10 changing tables from craigslist, or whatever...).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I am using www.alternativegiftregistry.org
It was just what i was looking for, which sounds like the same thing you're looking for, and the people i've polled tell me it's not annoying to use.

Thanks for the suggestion cicely_m! I was looking for the same thing! The only ones I had come across so far were www.findgift.com and www.thethingsiwant.com, but I don't know anyone who has used either and wondered about the actual execution of really using it.

I also use thethingsIwant.com It allows you to put anything you want from any store up there. It's pretty neat, you should give it a shot.

I've seen www.myregistry.com used before.. Seems to be a nice interface.

My registry is at www.thethingsiwant.com and I love it! It is super easy to set up, and people (including my MIL) have been easily able to figure out how to use it and mark things as having been bought. Some of my friends have now set them up there for birthday wishlists, etc.

I'm not really registering this time but am keeping a list on Amazon. They have hotslings, several cloth diapers, car seats, etc and I think that Amazon is easy for people to find and remember.
