Our new baby will be coming into the world in early October, and I'm trying to fill the freezer with yummy stuff to make the first weeks easier. I already made a big pot of chili and froze that, as well as a big pot of baked beans. I think I'll freeze a few soups and a few things to go on pasta. But I'd love some suggestions!

I used to do once a month cooking. In addition to chili, I'd usually make

lasagna
enchiladas
burrito filling
pizza
a couple of different kinds of casseroles

I'd also bake bread and muffins to freeze.

stuffed peppers freeze well (freeze them raw, then bake after defrosting)
dal (indian lentil puree) serve with ratia and flat bread
roasted tomato puree (which we then make into tomato soup with grilled cheese)
mac n' cheese (dh's favorite)
stuffed bread (cut into hunks before freezing)

uhhhh... i was just thinking about this, because dh cannot cook to save his soul and i better start making stuff next month to get ready for this feb. baby!
