a recent thread talking about how hot a fuzzibun can get in the summer has lead me to think about holding off getting mediums for my growing ds. I will also be going back to work soon (end of June <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> ) and want something easy for my caregiver to manage (family member). What would be the coolest diaper to use for the summer that would also be easy for someone else to do. (I don't think they would be into the prefold and cover diapers). Anyone?

Hmmm....if you don't think a prefold and cover would work for the caregivers....I would think your only option would be a fitted (or some prefitteds) and a cover....but if you're staying away from FB's because of the PUL and the hotness factor....you would probably want to stay away from PUL covers as well. So your other options would be wool or fleece....I know they both sound hot but they actually aren't because they are more breathable than PUL is. I would probably go with wool if it were me because I seem to be able to find tons of trim wool options....fleece tends to be a bit bulkier (although maybe someone here can point you in the direction of some trim fleece covers) but you can also just throw it in the washer and dryer with your regular dipes so it has that advantage over wool. I like both and I use both. I don't find the wool hard to care for at all even though it has to be hand washed and lanolized....you don't have to do it that often so I don't even notice it being hard to care for.

In the summer I would use fitteds with no covers around the house or in the back yard and my Fuzzi Bunz for going out and napping. I could not put wool on him as I could not imagine wearing it myself (but thats just my issue <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> ). I never found my little guy got any hotter with the FB than he did with sposies.
