My kids have very sensitive skin & even Water babies makes my 3 yo break out in red bumps all over. Their Dad recently tried some organic for sensitive skin & the same result

Any recommendations? We'll be going on vacation in a few weeks and this will be the first time I use sunblock on my almost 1 y.o. so I am hoping he to get some other suggestions please

Thank you~

I'm onto my 3rd brand of sunblock for dd. The first 2 gave her a rash. This 3rd one seems to be working ok - I've used it 2 days in a row now and no reaction. It's called Baby Blanket - I bought it in a baby shop but I think ToysRUs sells it to.

It has a physical block (titanium dioxide) as well as chemical block. Apparently the creams with physical block in it are better.

The website on the tube is: www.babyblanketsuncare.com

Bran has eczema, and the only thing he can use is California Babies...it's a natural sunblock in a sensitive skin formula...

What type of store do you find this brand in? Eczema runs in the family and my 3 yo has it?

Thanks for all the suggestions too~

My older ds (a redhead who really needs his sunscreen!) has very sensitive skin and eczema (we have it under control, though). His dermatologist recommended Vannacream (think I'm spelling it right) sunscreen. That's what we use on him, and we have no problems. We have gotten it by asking our local pharmacy to special order it for us.

Ditto, but I think dd is a bit sensitive to this too. This was the only sunscreen I wasn't scared to use - they've all got so many nasty chemicals. My rules for the summer are - practically no time outdoors (at least not in the sun) between 10 and 3 (we never go to the pool before 3), and cover up the skin as much as possible - hats, light-weight sweaters, etc. I know it's hot sometimes, but skin cancer would be worse than a bit of sweating, KWIM? HTH!

Totally kwym! I try to limit my kiddos exposure to the sun in peak hours like you with sunscreen or not!
But when were on vacation it'll be another story for 7 days
We definitely do hats but my older kiddos won't do sweaters so we just stay in~

RIT Dye makes a product you can wash your clothes in that increases their spf protection to 30. I can totally understand about not wanting to wear sweaters (even light weight ones), but maybe light weight long sleeve t-shirts?
