Stupid me took Haley to the pool yesterday and didn't put sunscreen on
: I now have blisters on both my shoulders in hand sized patches (1 patch on each shoulder) I have an aloe plant...will it help now that I am already blistered? Will vinegar help? I am going to the pool again tomorrow and will be going a ton throughout this week and this weekend...do you think slathering with a good SPF 45 sunblock will help from making the burn worse?

You'd think I would learn...this happens to me once every summer and yet I still forget to sunscreen myself in the beginning (I don't usually use above SPF 8-15 for myself and only usually SPF 45 for the kids)

ETA - Oddly enough the blistered patches don't hurt at all (or is that a really bad thing?)

Slather it with honey. Yep, honey. It has antimicrobial properties and will dry up the blister while keeping the skin soft. It helps it from getting infected, also. I would recommend putting a lightweight gauze over it as the honey is obviously very sticky and will stick to any clothing. It really works better than anything else.

And wear a tshirt for the rest of the week that covers your burned shoulders.
