Ok, my son has a very small sunburn - thankfully it is not bothering him!

In the future what can I do for sunscreen in a 3 month old? Sunscreen all says not to use on babies younger than 6months - what do I do now that its getting nicer out??

I use a hat with a brim, but baby is like me and doesn't like hot weather, so I don't want to put him in long sleeves.

Advice is welcome!!!

TIA

I asked my ped that question with DS3 ( we were going on vacation when he was 4 months old ) Being out of the sun wasnt an option. He said that the reason they say 6 months is because they have not tested them on younger children but in his opinon it was safer to use sunblock on young children than risk a burn. I use California baby sunblock on my little boys. skindeep.org lists the safety of cosmetic products and it scores very low on their toxic ranking
I have used it on Jack already this year we have had several nice days and California baby is fine even on his face.

I would think that a lot of the problem is that it probably isn't awesome to ingest sunscreen and the younger the babe the more likely the babe is to lick/mouth parts of the body with sunscreen.

But I could be just making stuff up.
