My baby is four month. If I put regular baby sunglasses will they most likely fall off a lot? I have seen the ones with bands, but honestly they are kind of ugly so I figured I would ask about the regular ones

My DD is 6 months old and the children's sunglasses from the summer section at WalMart fit her just fine. Then again, she does have a big head <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> but still...

We have two pairs--the cheap Carter's kind from Target and the ones with a velcro headband (also from Target). He tolerates both of them reasonably well. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I had one with the headband and it is ok, but DH found a pair of regular one in a parking lot and they are actually fitting better.

here's a website i found useful: <a href="http://www.babysunglasses.org/" target="_blank">http://www.babysunglasses.org/</a><br><br>
we went with the julbo infant's sunglasses. they have no hinges and the sides are soft. they have dark lenses and provide great protection. they were expensive but my dd is very fussy about light in her eyes so we just decided to bite the bullet on it. she wears them without any complaint and they dont fall off. this pair has a removable band. i really like them!

We use anything that has UV protection. From what I've read, if you use cheaper shades that do not have UV protection, the shades cause the eyes to dilate, which then allows more harmful rays to enter.
