Is anyone else's baby (or prior babies) super sensitive to outside stimulation starting as early as 22 weeks (I'm almost 25 weeks now)?

My baby loves to kick at almost all outside stimulation. If I poke my belly she'll usually kick back in the same spot.. If I shake my belly she'll always wake up and kick me.. If I roll over on my stomach too much at night she'll kick up a storm until I move. She will almost always kick my husbands hand if he puts it on my belly. Last night she rolled over and kicked his hand 3 times right away. I told my midwives this at my last appointment and she proved me right by kicking the stethascope (hard) over and over until they moved it.

I don't remember my son ever really responding much to outside stimuli. Did any of your have a prior pregnancy like this? What kind of personality did your baby have? I know this is totally unscientific, but it's fun to speculate.

I'm not sure, but I'm guaranteed to get a kick where my seatbelt goes across my hips (and lower belly). Baby also kicks where my stomach touches the bed (even on my side).
The other night Colleen and Eric were talking to him and he was just as active as if I had drank a glass of oj. They had such fun feeling him kick them! LOL

My babies stop kicking if I do something to my belly. When they get older, I can get them to move. I've had to keep dh's hand on my belly for a long time to have him feel the baby. I wish I could get them to kick more!

I've never had a baby like that! And this is #4!!! As I said in another thread, this little guy is wiggly, but it's not my doing - he's all about movement on his own. As soon as dh or the kids try to feel him, he stops. And he doesn't react to sounds, or my pressure, or anything. Pretty neat that your baby moves on demand

My placenta is actually in the front too. I thought for sure it was in the back (before the ultrasound) because I was feeling so much movement. Apparently an anterior placenta doesn't have to mean limited movement (although it usually does). My midwives just shrugged and said, "yeah, that's within normal".

This baby seems a *little* more sensitive than my other two, kicks the doppler and stuff when I'm at the midwife, sometimes kicks my hand, but I think maybe it's because I have a posterior placenta this time so I feel EVERYTHING.

I've never had a baby before, so I don't know how sensitive this one is compared to "normal," but by 21 weeks, I noticed that s/he moves around a lot in response to all kinds of things, from eating and drinking to my position to the sound of me playing piano. Even before I started feeling strong movements (as opposed to more subtle flutters), my midwife noted that the baby tended to kick the doppler when she was doing 30 sec HB checks.

I'm a super sensitive person physiologically and in every other way, so it wouldn't surprise me if my baby is, too. (But I was hoping s/he would take after my more mellow husband!)
