After dh and I dtd the other night, I felt my cervix to see if it was soft and open. It was like a mooshball. I assumed the softening was from semen. I was talking with my girlfriend about it today, and she said "oh honey...you were SUPER ripe. Only hormones can make your cervix that soft". Is this true? I have no experience with a mooshy cervix (never checked before and had it feel like that).

Also, quite a bit of spotting that night and the next morning.

Just wondering if I might have really been in the right place at the right time that night....

Ooh, really!!!!!????? So, when they suggest intercourse for helping labor along (cervix softening) it only helps a tiny bit?

Mine gets crazily mushy on ovulation day and I have a hard time finding the opening (so mushy that it just gives where ever I touch it!). Like other posters, I don't notice enough of a difference post-BDing to be significant.
Good luck!

My cervix gets very soft after sex. I've not noticed as much of a correlation, personally, with ovulation.
