i had some serious supply issues with dd#1-my milk never "came in", we pumped, took herbs, domperidone-ended up having to supplement although she did bf for 2 years. i was a nervous new mom, gave birth to anna in a hospital, a pushy lc (who had never bf herself or had any children) who kept saying i was "doing it wrong" because i couldn't figure out the football hold, nurses who gave anna sugar water and pacifiers and a very sleepy baby. so we basically went off to a bad start.this time around we're going for a birth center (these things can't be planned exactly but we hope) and i am more c confident in my mothering skills and breastfeeding; having just weaned anna.
have any moms out there had supply issues with the first but not with the second? i am hoping and praying it was all circumstantial and not some anatomical problem.
