I'll join. I start out with the best of intentions, and seemed to get sucked in way more than I used to. I think I'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones. I have to try real hard to be nice all the time to dh and ds, so it seems to be exploding here.<br><br>
(Although I still do try hard to be nice here too!)

I happen to like snarkiness, so I see no reason for anyone to give it up.<br><br>
I actually wasn't online for a while, and found all the mainstream vs. AP threads when they were all like 7 pages long, so I have just stayed out of it.

Actually IdentityCrisisMama... (only imo, i guess) the threads that I've been following, that you've participated VALUABLY within, as example, you've NOT been thought of as "snarky" at all. You bring another thought, which is the point of the thread's existence.<br><br>
I personally think that you putting your own real beliefs forward, then feeling like they're automatically "snarky" if they go agaisnt the OP statement, is weird. You've been nothing other than educational within the threads that I've seen your voice.<br><br>

I don’t have a problem with snark in general and also fund it very entertaining. I’m glad to hear that some of you appreciate this stuff for what it is --- A good - <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/fencing.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="fencing">:<br>
Personally, it doesn’t bother me too much but I do wonder if other members resent threads that are mostly snark. Also, this last round of snarkieness has got me worried that I may have contributed to some hurt some feelings. The other thing is I totally derailed an important thread and I feel bad about that. I know what it feels like to have your thread ruined because someone is feeling snarky so I don’t like doing that to people.<br><br>
However, I don’t think I’ve ever been snarky about parenting issues here at MDC. It’s those fringe threads that get me going. And, yea, I’ve definitely been baited in the past – and I’ve done my share of baiting as well.<br><br>
(Arthead – are you baiting me now, I hear you calling me back… :LOL <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/whistling.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="whistle"> must.stay.away.)<br><br>
On my good snark days I tend to get especially snarky about other peoples snarkieness (I’m judgmental about judgmental people too!) and I usually feel that’s an okay dialogue to get into. I guess I assume that if they can give it they can take it. But now, I feel like such a hypocrite!<br>
