We saw the surgeon this afternoon. He said they didn't have any slots for surgery till July. Then I told him what was going on (Linden's tube comes out and he doesn't seem to notice and he drowns, I wake up to the sound of my child breathing with a lung full of breastmilk). He then worked us in next thursday at 7:30 AM. I am so relieved. I couldn't have done this for another month. Anyhow, that's our update for now.

That's great!

It sure makes me angry that you had to say that to get the date, though .

I'd think that after the mess they caused they'd want to be more accomodating. Guess what that shows is my utter naivete when it comes to Big Medicine and Medical Error. I could rant but hey babe, it's your thread

(I'm glad he's getting what he needs!)

Glad they could work him in!!! Best wishes for smooth sailing with the surgery. DS1 has his MRI of his brain that day, so we'll be at our hospital early as well ... I hope we both have a stress-free day, as much as possible anyway!

Geez, I'm glad they worked him in, too!! Good Lord. You'd think a baby that aspirates 100% of feeds would be given top priortiy and they could bump somebody out of a slot who's non-emergent. IMO, Linden's surgery is emergent.

Glad something is being done.

That is great news! That is now less than a week away! Many healing thoughts being sent Linden's way.
