I'm thinking a bit ahead here, but DH already said we should get SBs for the new baby. I'm not so sure. I love the trimness and fit but they aren't the most leak-proof. Has anyone used these with a nb? I'm afraid I'll be dealing with lots of poopy clothes...

I'm with you . . . I love swaddlebees pockets (not a fan of the AIO) for their trim fit on my chubby baby, but I can't imagine a newborn baby who'd be chubby enough for that cut. I had a real chunker myself (10 lbs., 9.5 oz and not particularly long), but he still had skinny little thighs for the first few weeks.

For the newborn days, I really think that prefolds, flats and/or prefitted/contour diapers work the best.

My dd is 16 mos and very skinny, and the SB are great on her... although, she's still in mediums, so maybe I'm just a size down on her or something... I bought some for my baby that's due in july, but I figured that even if they don't fit him at first, they will after a few months. I also bought some kissaluvs and have BG OS 2.0, so I'm hoping one of those will work well

I wouldn't waste the funds on pockets for the newborn stage. I prefer kissaluvs for the newborn, and transition to pockets when they get some chunk on them.
