You can turn them inside out and cut the drying time by quite a bit

I'd get a medium. I bought a large that just fits my 20lb son.

The dry time is long. I hang it outside and it is damp when I take everything inside, but if I hang it inside after that it'll be dry in a couple hrs.

ok...here's my verdict...

the small's were almost too small. it barely fits DD and she's 13 1/2 lbs. that being said...it leaks. it's microfiber so it doesn't need to be repeatedly washed for absorbency, but i did anyway, and it still leaked. i usually love swaddlebees. they usually fit DD perfectly. these seem to be cut smaller than their other diapers. so, i decided to give it another try and got the mediums. guess what...they leak too. it's not size, it's not washing, it's not fit, so not sure what's wrong with them. i'm pretty bummed cuz they are sooooooooooooooooooo soft. i'll try them out since i have them, but DD just can't be in them for very long. lots of wet laps around here when she's worn them.

good idea...i'll keep washing and see if it helps. i thought with the microfiber that it wouldn't make a difference how much i wash them? i don't want to give up on them cuz they are so cute and soft. they are super trim, too which i like.

I was wondering if you added anything extra in the pocket?

Isn't the skin layer cotton? That might make a difference.

I am so tempted by these! Do you think my husband would believe I made them myself?

I love Swaddlebees AIOs but it's almost infuriating how many washes it takes before they stop leaking around the crotch area. The 2 I bought 6 weeks ago are just becoming reliable, and the other 2 that are almost 3 weeks old are still leaking. I have *no* idea what causes the leaking/wicking, or why washing helps, but it does. I still think it's worth it, because they are so cute, the fit is great, and I love the combination of microfiber soaker with cotton velour lining.
