I know I had this last time and some days are worse than others. What are some things I can do to lessen the pain and swelling? It's mostly in the groin area from my hip to inner thigh (right along the panty line).<br><br>
I'm currently 34 weeks, I do yoga 2-3 times a week, try to swim (float really) a few days a week, and have been working on doing inversions a few minutes a day. I try to sleep on my left side. I have a birth ball that I sit on but that sometimes seems to make it worse.<br><br>
Any suggestions?<br><br>

Is the swelling and pain related to your vulva area or is it more internal-muscle-pelvis kind of pain?<br><br>
Are there certain times of day, or after certain activities, that this pain and swelling increases?<br><br>
Did you have it with your first little one?<br><br><br><br>
Just trying to get a better idea of what's going on so that I can think of what suggestions might help. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

Sounds like it could be vericose veins. I experienced this as well, found cold to help, carefully placed that is. But mostly staying off your feet. the couch or recliner were good friends of mine as hard as that is

It is more of an internal-muscle-pelvis kind of pain. It comes and goes but is worse when I first get up or after being on my feet for a while. It's right in the crease of my leg/hip. It's almost like the legs of my panties are too tight and cutting off the circulation but I know that's not what's causing it. I did have this last time as well. It sometimes feel like I've been kicked. It's not unbearable, just really uncomfortable.<br><br>
I'll try the cold compress.<br><br>
Anything else?
