I have been reading all the safety post about rf and watched all the videos on youttube and I was really afraid of switching my son back to rearfacing. Like most people I assumed at 20 lbs you should switch your child forward. I did as soon as he hit that mark, and I even use a convertiable seat the Safety First all in one seat. I really thought he was going to hate it and pitch a fit. I finally decided just to do it and maybe he would get over it. He didn't even care at all. He hasn't said anything at all about it and he is a very particular child. I just wanted to let everyone who is considering switching their children back to rearfacing after you switched them forward facing that some kids do not care about being switched. And just wanted to thank all you momas for making my child much safer.

That's great! I really think that the majority of toddlers wouldn't mind the switch back to rf'ing. I know the one time my 2 yo had to ride ff'ing in a borrowed vehicle he looked uncomfortable being so upright after being used to sitting so much more reclined!

I think it's more the adults issue, ya know? Like my DH will comment that DS looks too big to rf (he has not yet reached the weight limit) but in reality he's never complained and doesn't seem to mind bending/folding his legs at all.

I had my daycare girl rf'ing for months when she was ff'ing in her parents car. It never bothered her at all. (In fact, she was way more confused when she went over the weight limit and I had to ff her.)
