I'm eleven weeks pregnant and have a really bad sore throat. I'm going in to see my doctor this morning to be tested for strep. I'm going to insist on the test (she usually just says it "looks" like strep so no need to test) and if it is strep and I need to take antibiotics, what else should I be doing? Just probiotics along with the meds?

have you tried any natural approach for sore throat? Maybe eat raw garlic 3-6 times a day in yogurt or piece of toast with nut butter and raw honey? I would be taking a probiotic while pregnant anyway along with fermented foods. But If you end up taking abx I think I would wait till your done with abx to start the probiotic.
