How often do you give it to your kids during this cold/flu season? How much?
Can you give it at the same time as other supplements (such as echinacea/elderberry. Someone told me that you are not supposed to take echinacea and astragalus together)?
Have you had good results with the use of this herb for preventative care during this season?
Anything else I should know....?

I give it to my boys once a day 3-6 drops when not sick and 3 times a day when sick. I have seen once not to mix with echinacea but in more than one spot seen them together. So I give them together.
I know when I started using it the first time my boys were both sick and after getting it they got worse for a few hours then way better. This happened every time they got a dose. But they recovered really quick.

There seems to be so much confusion about how to use this herb.
"Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child" says to use it as an immunity builder but to NOT give it in the presence of a fever or any sign of infection.
This lady I talked to yesterday said not to give it and echinacea in the same treatment period but the "Smart Medicine" book doesn't say anything to that effect.
I've been giving one dropperful every day (or every other day if I forget) and one dropperful of Well Child too (echinacea/elderberry blend).

I LOVE astragalus! We use it in 2-3 week rounds for strong immunity. Not during illnesses. It's a really good ally for us. I also put the root in my soup stocks sometimes.

http://sites.google.com/site/herbindex/astragalus
