Talked to the midwife! :)

I know it's way early but I've waited through five kids to do this! I talked to the midwife today. Dh and I have an appt. to meet with them in a couple of weeks. I can't wait. I can't tell you how much this means to me. My last hospital birth left me feeling almost suicidal. I'm not kidding. I'm so excited to have a baby in the comfort of my own home surrounded by my friends and family.

congrats momma!!! you will love your homebirth
and all the special care you get leading up to it
i couldn't imagine doing it any other way
i'm so glad for you that you have found your way to it

Yeah way to go!!!
I too just hired on a midwife; I know only 9 more weeks to go for me but HEY, I am a huge procrastinator. I am going to fire my OB next week

I've had to hospital births that seemingly almost killed the kids, and one homebirth that was pretty dang close to my dream birthing experience. I want this last one to be the BEST!!

Wow! I didn't know you were pregnant again! Very cool. Your youngest is only a bit older than my Dylan and I have baby fever big time! Good for you, I think you certainly know what to expect from childbirth, and this should be an awesome experiance. I'll bet in 9 months your dh will be the biggest homebirth advocate yet.

I'm so happy for you!

Prenatals w/a homebirth midwife are just like getting together for tea with a girlfriend. It's so much fun. The whole thing is...well - kind of fun...except for crowning of course! :LOL

Hooray! Congrats mama! This will be a wonderful experience. I'm having the baby fever too and my youngest is only 7 months! Hmm, I'll have to do something to contain myself. Oh yeah - I live vicariously through all of you! Have fun at your prenatals (I always did) and enjoy your birth!

ekblad - how wonderful! We started interviewing mw's even before we were pg so it is never too early LOL! Congrats - we are also planning our first homebirth and are so very exicted!
