I would like to call my state politicians about supporting the bills that State Sen. Connie Williams has introduced. Never having talked to a politician above the local level and never about breastfeeding, I wondered if anyone here who's BTDT had suggestions.

I figured I'd look to see what committees they were on and make bf'ing relevant to that. Ex: both are on the transportation & something committees. I was going to relate how bf'ing decreases the amount of wear & tear on roads because of less trucks to get formula to market, bottle feeding paraphanelia to market, babies to doctors visits, hospitals, etc.

Ideas?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what state you are in, but MA has a Breastfeeding Coalition that has an awesome advocacy website. There are talking points and tips and everything that can be applied to your situation.
