So tandeming had been going great ds would nurse 2-3 times per day, and when nursing with dd he would hold her hand, and be very sweet to her the would pop off and say all done I need to save some for sophie. But the last two days he has only nusred once each day for less than 2 min. The last time he nursed he told me it was yucky
He'll be 26 months on Sunday, but I love nursing him and his sis and I really am not ready for him to wean. I had milk or colostrum throughout my entire pregnancy and saw it as a sign that this was supposed happen. Now there is all this wonderful milk he could have he doesn't want it. Please help me figure out what to do and what is going on. Any insight is welcome.

Could something you ate be flavoring the milk?
I imagine that you're right about your son not being used to the new milk, since he has had pregnancy milk/colostrum for so long. Maybe it's the larger amount of milk that he isn't fond of. What if you nursed the baby on one side first, so that it was almost completely empty, and then switched the baby to the full side and gave your toddler the nearly empty side? Then he could just have a little bit at first. You could even gradually increase the amount that you leave for him, so that he could get used to more milk again. That's so sweet how he holds the baby's hand, and tries to leave extra milk for her.

When my daughter was born, we had the opposite problem. My son was so excited that there was lots of milk again, that he stopped eating solid food. That was okay for awhile, but a little bit hard on me, making all that milk
. Now he still nurses a few times a day, but not as much as he used to.
