I have been tandem nursing my ds (2-1/2) and dd (12 days) since dd's birth. Since then my ds's appetite for regular food has diminished drastically. He's probably eating about 1/3 of what he used to. For example, today he ate a small bowl of cereal, 5 large strawberries and a cheese sandwich. That's it!! Before dd's birth he would nurse 2-3 times but there was only colostrum. Now he nurses about 5-6 times a day. Is my milk really so filling that he is filling up on that and not wanting regular food? Is that OK? I know breastmilk is good for him but at 2-1/2 should he be eating regular food more?
