I am gaining more weight then 'they' would like. I also gained a lot of weight with DS, all of which fell off almost immediately after birth (like 40lbs in the first 6 weeks).

Is there any information about nursing during pregnancy and if that affects weight gain?

I eat a really healthy diet, I am gluten free, eat very little red meat, no pork. I mostly eat eggs, chicken, dairy, fruits and veggies and occasionally brown rice pasta.

I did the math and I honestly don't understand how I could still be gaining so much weight (approx 2 lbs a week) as I am barely meeting 2000 calories.

Is this just my body gearing up for nursing two? Any one have experience?

I can honestly say I gained EXACTLY the same amount with DD2 as DD1 even though I was nursing through pregnancy.I even had a 2 lb larger baby this time around. There's no correlation.
