"Teach a Child to Read with Children's Books"

I read it and it is a very good book. However, the method seemed, to me, to be for remedial reading and not for actually teaching a child to read. It seemed to assume that the child could already read some and was below "grade level." It didn't seem applicable to beginning readers.
