Ok, so how do you do this? My dd is 26 months, and we try to make a game of it and show her how to blow out her nose, but no success actually doing it into a kleenex. She isn't sick very often, but has a cold right now, and I just keep thinking how nice it would be if she could blow the gunk out (we periodically use the "booger-sucker," but she's not thrilled about that). Any ideas?

Start with blowing... like blowing out a candle. Use a candle! Next tell her, "Okay... now it's the same thing, just keep your mouth closed." Don't worry about a tissue at this point. It is distracting and they aren't likely to move enough for it to matter much. (I mean, have one handy for wipe up, but don't put it in her face... not worth it.) Good luck!
