Just wanting to check in and see what all everyone is taking now that we are nearing the end.

I brewed my first pot of RRL tea today, mostly because it is suddenly stinking hot & I wanted some iced tea waiting for me in the fridge to quench my thirst. I have some red clover & nettle leaves, but I'm not sure if they are recommended for pregnancy.

I'm going to wait on the EPO until 36 weeks because I'm travelling long distances then.

I've been taking a special prescription prenatal but pills in general seem to make me gag these days. I might start the cal/mag again.

Any suggestions for what might help my moderately puffy feet? I'm thinking it is heat & exercise related because I have no other risk symptoms.

So what is everyone else taking at this point?

The only thing I've added at this point is chlorophyll/alfalfa geltabs, at my midwife's suggestion. They get more Vitamin K into my system, which will help with clotting.

I've bought RRL tea a couple of days ago, but haven't actually tried it yet.

And I'm watching to see what others suggest for the puffy feet! I had several people say it meant I needed to stay more hydrated, but I don't think I can fit any more liquid in me during a day! It just started when the weather around here began hitting the high 70s/low 80s, so I'm assuming that it's at least partially heat-related, but the idea of putting ice on my feet just sounds unpleasant.

I just bought my first box of RRL tea too! I had never had it and I love it (I like a robust black tea flavor!) I mainly bought it to help me wean off of my morning Irish Breakfast tea/coffee. I don't mind drinking a cup or two during preg. but not while nursing, so this tea is a good alternative. I have cod liver oil I swore I was going to take during the last trimester, but the flavor is so yuck... I'm going to try to commit taking it at least this last month!

I've heard that increasing your salt(sea salt) and protein helps with puffy feet- as well as ward off pre-e. Also more fluids and regular exercise(walking). This was my MW's suggestion....

Prenatal/DHA
Alfalfa caps
Baby aspirin (will stop at 38 weeks)
B Complex
B6
Milk thistle
Cal/mag w/ vit D

RRL tea (2-3 cups per day)
Pregnancy blend tea (doesn't have RRL, but has alfalfa, nettle, etc. - make 1 cup/day)

I take the milk thistle and baby aspirin especially to ward off pre-e (or high BP, which I've had once in the past). I have no swelling at all. I also drink 100-150 oz of water a day besides the teas and some sweet tea here and there and an occasional glass of milk. I also have a protein shake/smoothie everyday or every other day at least. I use organic whey protein powder and that plus whatever I put in (sometimes ice cream, but usually fruits and veggies) - it's about 35-40g of protein.

I might add the RRL tea along with my prenatal, fish oil, cal/mag and liquid chlorophyll.

Daily I take my Rainbow Prenatals, cranberry with uvi ursa (i'm prone to kidney issues), and dandelion root (which btw will help with swelling and puffiness). I added alfalfa tablets a few days ago. With my other 3 pregnancies i took EPO and RRL, this time i'm doing neither. My mw's and I agree there is no need for extra toning of my uterus as they said its in wonderful shape from birthing last year. And honestly i don't want to give my body any extra help at another fast labor. This time i'm really hoping for at least 6 hours of labor, so i've ditched supplements that help with uterus toning and so on.

I agree it is probably the heat + exercise causing the puffy feet! I have found the best remedy to be a quick soak in a very COLD foot bath, even with a few ice cubes thrown in there!
As for teas & vitamins, I am still taking my Rainbow prenatals & also just bought some RRL tea, but I've only had it a few times. Anyone know how much RRL tea is okay to drink at this point? I don't want to overdo it!

I currently take Vit D(3) and fish oil (Nordic Naturals-only fish oil I can tolerate).
I'll add EPO orally at 35-36 weeks, increasing dosage weekly until birth.
That will probably be the extent of my supplementation. RRL tea makes me gag

Give nordic naturals a try. Seriously. I have a very difficult time tolerating certain vitamins and supplements (thank you HG) and I can take Nordic Naturals fish oils with NO problem at all. They are flavored so if you do burp them you burp lemon or strawberry not nasty fish.

Wow. I take nothing! Lol.

I talked to my MW about it and she said i am healthy, my diet is varied and i have nothing notable in my blood results so i don't need a supplement (i took one for the first tri for the folate).

As of 34 weeks i'm drinking 1 cup of RLT a day, moving now i'm 36 weeks to 1-2cups. To be honest it's giving me really really super-long BH ctx (like over 90 seconds) though so i'm not all that excited to keep increasing it! My MW doesn't care if i go over 42 weeks so long as the baby seems fine, so i'm not doing EPO either.

I gulp my RRL really fast. It helps if I drink it lukewarm, not hot or cold, for whatever odd reason. But I drink a 6-8 oz glass of it in about 20 seconds or less, as I am not a huge fan of the taste either. :/

RRL tastes awesome if you mix it with nettle tea. I can't drink it by itself either, blech! But mixed with nettle and iced is great! I haven't had any thus far though I'm sure I'll add it at some point...

I am taking Floradix right now...
I will add Mother's Cordial herbal blend from the naturopath at 36 weeks (I can't believe that is only 2 weeks away! ACK)
And internal EPO starting at 36ish weeks or a little later. I do not take it orally since I have a history of PPH.
