I love TEDtalks! This was a really good one, though I felt he stuck too much to the "impoverished child" paradigm and didn't emphasize that ALL kids can do this. Still, very inspiring. There are a few great TEDtalks on this subject. One is by Sir Ken Robinson and the other was about the 19-year old who was the youngest published scientist (she went to school, but everything she learned about science was done by herself on her own time; frankly if she hadn't had to go to school she likely would have published even earlier although perhaps few people noticed that, lol).

That was wonderful! I loved it so much that I had to watch the Ken Robinson video on creativity (on the right side of the screen "What to Watch Next"). Both videos were very good and I found myself wanting to send these links to everyone I know who works in education and sets policy.
