DD is 11 months and so far has her two middle bottom teeth and four middle top teeth. I was under the impression that the teeth came in from the middle front of the mouth in order, gradually working back, so the molars come in last.

However, I was fishing a bit of paper out of DD's mouth today and felt something sharp in an odd place. Had a bit of a feel around and it turns out there are 3 molars right near the backs of her gums coming through - one top and bottom near the back on her right, and one on top near the back on the left.

Is this normal?! Has anyone else had this happen with their DC?

I have heard of lots of kids who have a few front teeth and are getting their molars in - I think the molars usually come in at 1 year, 6 years and 12 years.

Teeth erupt in all types of order. i was a dental hygienist for 17yrs and saw many variations even a little girl who's canines came in first she looked like a little vampire. My own sons teeth the top 4 came in before the bottoms. Dont worry its normal

My DD has the two front bottom and the two top incisors..so shes missing the two top middle. She looks very funny. Thankfully they are about to break through

At 3 months, DD cut her first tooth, which was the top left molar. She's now cutting the eye tooth next to it, and I can see the other molars coming in. No sign of incisors yet.

It's totally normal! They come in when they come in and in all patterns! A friend of mine, her DS's teeth came in - top and bottom "wampire teeth" then molars, then the front middles! LOL

DS is 7mos old and at 4 mos cut her bottom two teeth at the same time in one day. At 6mos old she cut ALL FOUR top teeth at the SAME TIME in ONE DAY.

So from what I'm learning, it's all pretty normal lol

My friend's DS has his 2 bottom front teeth and is now cutting his top canines. He's the cutest little vampire!
