I got a baltic amber teething necklace, because DS drools constantly and is enjoying chewing on things right now. I honestly don't think he's teething, but I wanted to be prepared. Will it hurt him if I let him wear the teething necklace now or can it only be worn when teething? That's the other thing that will be interesting, trying to figure out when DS IS teething for the first time. Thanks for any and all help! =)

My DS started wearing his a few months before his first tooth popped through. I had no idea if he was teething or not (he chewed on things, but that's pretty normal for babies), so I just started putting it on him. He has handled teething really well so far (has 4 now), never gets too fussy, has never really drooled much. I'm not sure if it's the necklace or not, but I don't want to risk taking it off <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">
