Please describe your child's teething symptoms (and maybe even how you dealt with them). How did you child act and what did you see in his/her mouth?

My child has been drooling for over two months and has been a fist eater for as long...lately sleep is worsening if that is even possible at this point...sucking in bttom lip and makes noises, whines constantly, lips are very peely on the inside...

Anyone have pictures of a teething baby's gums? I have no clue if they feel swollen or look swollen...they just look like gums to me...

DS hasn't gone through teething, but when he had thrush his lips were peely on the inside...is it possible that he has thrush and that is making him uncomfortable? Just didn't want you to overlook it if it was the problem! I hope it's not though...we had a hard time getting it to go away!

I thought that too as we had thrush before he doesn't have white patches on his mouth just his tongue is white sometimes...any white stuff wipes off...so I believe it is just milk

Well, my ds is now 9 months and has been having teething 'symptoms' since about 3 months... still no teeth! Actually, one is popping through now and the symptoms have been much different than they were in the past. He used to chew his fists and drool constantly. Then last week his gum was VERY swollen and white where the tooth is poking through, and he began to drool more than ever. He also had a fever and runny nose (not sure if this was teething related, but awfully coincidental if not).
He seems to be taking this first tooth awfully hard, he is very uncomfortable. I wonder if the first is usually the worst? I hope so, for his sake...

Yes! It completely calmed dd down, although neither the gel nor the pills have helped her sleep longer. I wish they made a sleeping syrum that was homeopathic! Heh.

She's been chewing on everything for months now and very drooly and extremely cranky. Rash on chin from saliva and what not, but no teeth or even white bumps below her gums.

Oh, no. I'm sorry it is thrush.

As for teething, Harrison has the rash, the drool, the chewing, the irritability. He wants to stuff everything in his mouth, only to be displeased with it and fling it aside and start fussing. He also has a stuffy nose, but that could be from the illness he is getting over.

I see nothing swollen about his gums either. I really don't get why Mother Nature thought teething should hurt. What purpose does it serve? It only makes parents and babies miserable!
