DH, DS, and I travelled all over Colorado last week and fell in love with Grand Junction. DH is taking a new job and our options were CSprings, Aurora, GJ, and Loveland. We love the small town feel of GJ and it seems that there is some natural living type community there...can anyone tell me anything specific?

-Is the LLL very active?http://www.lllusa.org/COWY/GrandJunctionCO.html..... not really you must have to seek them out in my 5mo of BFing in GJ nobody said anything about LLL
-What's the town like politically, w/ NIP, etc? (I come from a pretty conservative area where NIP is shocking!)I think you would be fine I NIPed a bit before I left..... theres this guy called Speedo Man and he only wears a Speedo in the summer (he gets looks but nobody verbally attacks him)...fairly conservitive though there is quite a bit of liberal activisim
-Any input on the various towns? (We looked a bit at Fruita (seemed nice), Clifton (seemed not-so-nice), and downtown GJ (spotty)...Are my first impressions correct?) You got it! Fruita is kinda spotty but mostly nice... The "nice" areas of GJ are the Redlands, the area North of I-70, in town anywhere between 1st and 12th, Little Park Road this is a bit to find but worth it here are the diections from the horizon drive exit http://www.mapquest.com/directions/m...2s=CO&2z=81503, PALISADE you never mentioned it a eautifu part of the valley and mostly very nice

Anything else would be greatly appreciated!!!
