OK, I'm looking for a wonderful education from you wise folks about Omega 3's. Here's my meager understanding:<br><br>
We are deficient in 2 kinds, EPA and DHA. The best sources of both are fish oil/cod liver oil. Kids, especially, need DHA for brain development.<br><br>
ALA comes from plant sources, and we are typically not deficient. Sources are flax oil/seed.<br><br>
My questions:<br>
Is all of the above info accurate? Are there other kinds? Are ratios of EPA/DHA important? Anything else you can teach me?<br><br>
