My littlest is about 13 months now.

She eats 3 meals a day and has since about 9or 10 months.

She nurses about 2-3 times a day, depending on how busy we are or how distracted she is.

She nurses a night. A lot. I'm not sure how much though.

What about yours?

How many times a day do you nurse?
5-6 times or more

Does your child eat mostly food? She sits down for three meals and two snacks. Doesn't eat much though mostly chicken, turkey, oatmeal, blueberries and apples.
Does your child still night nurse? If so, how often? Yes, 2-3 times a night

DD is fifteen months old and weighs 24lbs 10 oz

my almost 12 month old nurses about 5 times a day,
He only eats oatmeal for breakfast then has bites of what I'm eating all day.
He nurses 1-3 times on an average night.
I ask because I feel like he should be eating more actual meals, but he seems content and refuses food that I try to give him.

Well, if he is growing well and seems content and your mothering instincts agree then I would say just continue offering food and he'll take it when he's ready.

My ped who proactivily recommends bf until 2 years old does say that a baby who bf a lot (she defines that as more than 2) during the day can hamper the appetite for other things. If you want you could offer food before a nursing to see if that helps.

My DS turned one last Saturday, and one way we celebrated was by breastpumping at work for the last time. I'm now spending my lunches taking walks in the spring air rather than sitting in a stuffy closet. Despite having decreased the amount of milk overall, DS is still happily nursing to sleep at night, then three times or so, briefly, during the night, and before work in the morning. On the weekends, he still nurses to sleep for his two naps or whenever he toddles past me and wants a swig. (He'll lift my shirt to let me know.) Breakfast: a scrambled egg or plain wholemilk yogurt with fruit, or cereal and fruit. Lunch: a veg serving with a grain cereal or yogurt if we skipped it for bfast; Dinner: bits of chicken/turkey/beef, a veg, a fruit. He also gets a quarter of a graham cracker with some milk or juice after his naps.
All the best with your feedings!

It really varies. If we're home she's a snacker and nurses for short periods pretty often. If we're out and about then it's less frequent and she usually nurses for a long time when we get home or somewhere quiet.

Does your child eat mostly food?
Ha! No. Again the amount of food she eats is really variable. I always offer food, but some days she eats next to nothing and others she chows down.

Does your child still night nurse? If so, how often?
We co-sleep. DD nurses to sleep around 10ish then may have a short sessionaround midnight or 1am. She usually nurses in her sleep starting around 6 or 7am. This session usually lasts a while. 30 min to an hour. On nights she's wakeful, she nurses more.

Thanks!

DS nurses about 4 - 5 times a day. He also gets 3 meals and 2 snacks. Sometimes he is more interested in food and other times he is more interested in nursing. I think it depends on what he feels like eating that day. He is still night nursing. Most nights he nurses one time, but there are still a couple nights a week that he is up 2 - 3 times. We do not co-sleep anymore. He is in his own crib in his own room. He is going to be 13 months on Saturday and weighed 21 lbs 6.5 oz at last weigh in a month ago.

DD is nearly 14 mo.

I WOHM, so during the weekdays she nurses when I frirst get home, nurses down for bedtime, sometimes once in between that. We start her off in the crib and then she spend the rest of the night co-sleeping. This week, she's been nursing overnight alot, seems like between 1 and 5 I nurse her every hour. But other nights it's 2-3 times a night. It varies. I try to nurse her right before I leave, but that does not always happen. I don't pump anymore, as she prefers her momma milk from the tap. SO weekdays anywhere from 4-8+ times

On weekends we nurse the same overnight and then, whenever during the day. Usually before naps and then whenever works. If we are busy/away it's a bit less. Much the same on weekends as far as total nursing times.

Regardless of this, she's a pretty good eater. Breakfast is usually an egg, sometimes oatmeal. Lunch is some sort of protein/grain/veg or fruit and dinner is much the same. Snacks are usually fruit/veg or cheese.

I am going to work on nightweaning as soon as my wrist and ankle heal, as I'd like to nurse her in the rocking chair and then put her back in crib. I'm in need of more sleep, but holding her at night in a rocking chair is too awkward right now all injured.

Age: 15 months (almost)
Nurse: when I'm home, all day -- at least 8-10 times. When I work, once in the morning, 2-3 times in the evening, and at least twice at night.
Food: TONS. He is a bulldozer. He eats everything he sees -- hunger apparently has nothing to do with it (or little).
Night nurse: Yes, but I think it's mainly because I'm gone for so long during the day. When I was home on vacation for two weeks, so he got enough nursing in during the day, he only nursed once at the end of the night.
