Tell me about your 3 month old. My lo is 14 weeks (tomorrow) and I'm wondering what other lo's her age are doing. She isn't rolling yet, but has finally started enjoying her tummy time. She reaches for toys (prefers one hand over the other). She smiles, but hasn't started giggling yet really. Some days she'll sleep nearly all day, other days she'll want to eat every hour - no schedule what so ever! I know all babies are different and I shouldn't compare, but just wondering... thanks!

Alayna is 3 months old, and she is busy, busy!!
She rolls from Tummy to back, and loves screaming, to hear her voice! She sleep mostly through the night, and takes about 3 naps a day.

Sanaz has been rolling from back to tummy since she was 1 1/2 months old. She's still rolling, doing mini push ups at tummy time, pulls herself to a sit up when you have her reclining in your lap and now stands up from a sitting position when you have her in your lap. Lots of smiles, giggles, babbles, loves bath time, gets infant massage about 5x/week and absolutely loves that. She also likes dancing (bopping) to music. She tends to favor her right leg/foot and seems to be right handed since she grabs most things with her right hand first. She's a doll!!

My babe is almost 3 months & loves to smile at people, and sometimes at the ceiling fan. She is most content outdoors, enjoying the fresh air & breeze. She just started reaching for the toys on her toy bar when in her bouncy seat. She has started to fuss in the sling - not sure why. She enjoys baths. She still naps several times a day - no predictable schedule yet. She wakes once or so in the night to nurse. She is very gassy, and we often have to help her by lifting her legs up to expell the gas. No rolling over yet, but seems on her way. She can hold things if put into her hands, but doesn't actually try to pick up anything yet. She is a total love bucket!

My three month old is just rolling over from back to tummy (but gets frustrated there 'cause he only likes tummy time for a little while and he can't roll back yet) and loving to just watch all the action. He smiles lots at people and is just starting to laugh- but everytime he does he gets the hiccups- which he hates! He likes to mimick us, trying to shape his mouth and tongue like ours when we talk to him and trying to copy our sounds, with great concentration- it is so cute! He is pretty erratic in his schedule too- sometimes sleeping 5-6 hours at a time at night, sometimes waking up every 2 hours, having 2-4 naps a day at various times (though it is most often 3 naps spread out through the day) and snacking pretty often. He's not particularily interested in grabbing things yet, but likes to talk to the mobile! And he's getting so wonderfully chubby! He's so very sweet!

My son is just turned 3 months old and seems to be more "on target" if I pay attention to what "the professionals" say with his social skills. He has been smiling and laughing out loud with and at us for over a month. He has been "talking" for the past 2 weeks but in the past 2 days he has gotten louder and more consistant with it. He doesn't roll over, and doesn't even attempt, and today during tummy time was the first time he has lifted his head to about a 45 degree angle. He does reach for objects now, but he doesn't keep his hands open very often, so right now along with tummy time we are working on opening his hands by giving him things to hold, and different textures to touch.
I was an early ed. teacher for over 10 years prior to having my son. I've always worked with infants and toddlers. All kids develop differently. I've seen 3 month old trying to push themselves to their knees, 9 month old walking, but I have seen children of the same age just lay there, so just keep in mind everyone is different. Don't pay attention to the "experts", they are not an expert on your child, go with your heart and keep stimulating your child and things will start to happen when it's the right time for your child!!!

DD is now almost four moanths, but at 3 -- she was doing a ton of smiling, batting at things hanging in front of her, holding onto a rag and rubbing it all over her face, starting to laugh a little -- but she does much more now. No rolling. Loves using her voice to make singing noises - ahhh, ohhh, and maybe even "talking" in those noises when we repeat them back to her. Hates tummy time. Sleeping a lot. Now at four months I think I see a little little more tolerence for tumy time and the beginging of a roll -- she'll move to her side and hang out there..

My 3 month old JUST started rolling this morning. He's smiling & giggling (when something is REALLY funny to him). Ummm...sucking his thumb, but still doesn't like tummy time even when he rolled over this morning.

My ds hates tummy time so he can't roll over or push up yet, but I figure I am not going to force my child to lay there and wail. He will get there on his own time
. He can hold his head very very well though and swats and bats at things. He sits up in his boppy pillow and loves to watch the ceiling fan. He laughs and smiles and squeals ALL the time. He has had lots of gas and colic so he is up throughout the night still and feeds every 2 hours round the clock
He plays with his kick gym too a lot. He loves to grab my hair and try to eat it as well. He enjoys my dd but she wants no part of him...jealous little brat she is!! But we figure she will come around eventually. In the mean time he doesn't know how she feels so he just coos away at her all day!!
