I had an accident about a month ago, with no health insurance : Bills are VERY HIGH and I have no idea how we are going to pay them! I don't have ANY MONEY to invest in anything. So I have been brainstorming....I have tried selling everything that I can part with on the trading post. It has resulted in me earning about $60.00 toward the $8000.00 bill
I have to do something else NOW!
I have to use the resources I have. I got to thinking that I have made this really awesome antibacterial/antmicrobial eco-friendly all purpose cleaning solution for years...WHY NOT SELL IT!?!?
What do you think?
Where do I start though?
Please help me mamas

I think it sounds like an awesome idea. Can you package it in a way that you could sell it and it would travel well? There is always room for eco-friendly products that actually work.

The thing about your idea is that it will cost money to start up. You'll need to pay for packaging, labeling, a website (if that's the route you were thinking of going), advertising, shipping....

I also wanted to add that with your product you'll be up against a lot of competition. What makes your product stand out?

If you're looking for a way to make money with no up front investments, I'd suggest taking a look at the GPT thread.

I was thinking the same thing--the start up expenses would be difficult given your financial situation. Also it usually takes a while to get your name out there and really start making sales. If you do it, I think wholesale accounts might be the way to go--more sales quickly and spread the word about your product. If I were in your shoes, I would start by going to your local HFS to see what else is out there--price, marketing, packaging--then figure out how to make yours stand out and start approaching stores. Just my 2 cents!

I'd think the start-up costs would make it unsuitable as your short-term solution.
Maybe you can work at getting the bill reduced?
