The meeting is coming on fast. There has been even more press on the issue today with piece on NBC and Fox(go Rachel!). The segment had a comment from council memeber Jose Ibarra stating that the city is willing to go forward with the AD that covers city property, and to send a resolution to the state to change state law. We want more!!! We want them to do EXACTLY what Chandler did on Thursday! Here is what we need you to do...

Come to both the study session on Tuesday at 3:30pm and the regular council meeting at 5:30pm. If you can ONLY make ONE come to the later one please! Fill out a comment card, and speak if you will. Each speaker has a maximum of 5 minutes. We need a HUGE show of support for this! So please tell everyone you can think of to come to the meeting.

Call The hotline. Tell them you support an ordinance that protects a mother and childs' right to breastfeed anywhere they are otherwise permitted to be. 520-791-4700

Email them saying the same thing [email protected]

I know we can do this mamas! We should not be satisfied with just city property. That sets a bad precedent for the rest of the state. PLEASE call, and PLEASE come out to the meeting. One of the driving factors behind Chandler's success was the numbers. The sheer show of support from the community at large.

Thank you all for your hard work on this.

Not an AZ resident but weighed in on this as well... I'd hate to see a state put NIP in a legal category of "ok here... but not here", that is just an invitation to "legal" discrimination and could potentially be used as an argument to derail additional states as they move towards bf protective legislation.
