When i saw the nurse midwife two weeks ago she pressed around my groin and asked me if it hurt, it didn't.

In the last few days, I have really been tender in the crevice of my leg at the edge of my pubic hair on both sides.

I called the docs office and told them about it and they were dumbfounded as to what could be going on.

Anyone know why they checked me for pain and why I may now have it?

Hmmm.... well, one thought as to what could be causing the tenderness... around the beginning of the second trimester, actually it peaks at 14 weeks I read, you start making relaxin which is a hormone that causes your joints to relax, so that your pelvic bones can shift enough to let the baby come through at birth. Some women get all kinds of pain because the hormone can cause joints all over your body to relax a little, and that can pull on tendons and stuff.

I am not totally sure why they checked there, unless they were feeling for something abnormal in your abdomen... but you said it was your groin they pressed on?

I guess it is the groin, not sure where it starts and ends but it is in the bend of my leg.

The research I did said the same thing you said about the pelvis stretching out. I never have had this before though and I have 2 kids. Some of what I read said that I may need to see a special doctor to get some sort of pelvic support. It also said that most of the time relief doesn't come until after the baby is born. Boy, if it isn't one thing, it's another.
