I've had a terrible sore throat over the past few days with minimal drainage, my body aches, etc.. I know it's not strep -- can any of you wonderful folks recommend ways to manage the pain? It's to the point where swallowing liquids and even the movement of breathing is painful. Thank you!

I use homeopathy, so that's always my first line of defense. I would think about bryonia or hypericum just from what you've written.

You can also think about slippery elm. It's nutritional, mucilaginous and does a great job at coating the alimentary canal. It should provide comfort. You can get it in lozenges, but I prefer loose powder. You can make it into a gruel or a tea. I like to add honey and garlic as well.

You can also look into colloidal silver which many people say works on contact.

There are many things out there, and I hope you find one that looks good to you!
