tests for lungs?

Hi, does anyone have experience with walking Pneumonia? I've heard of it and wonder is there a test??? I am going to the drs tomarro for this tightness and congestion in my chest that has come at the end of a virus type cold that lasted really long. I wonder if I should insist on some kind of test, since when I was there about two weeks ago and had the cough and congestion , although it wasnt as bad as it is now, he said I was fine when he listened.
