I thought there is someone else here with a child with tethered cord. Who is it?

I have a question for you.

bumping this up for you

Charlotte technically has a tethered cord as all kids with sb do, but her doesn't cause any problems so far (knock on wood).

Has she ever been de-tethered? My daughter was de-tethered at 4 1/2 months of age and we think she is re-tethering. As well as her lipoma growing.

Anne, do you belong to any email lists for parents of kids with spina bifida? While my daughter has syringomyelia, not SB, her symptoms are so similar that I joined a yahoo SB group. I know that they've discussed detethering on the list; you could doubtless get some input there.

It's called SBMoms-N-Dads. Sign up at yahoogroups.com, and run a search for it. It's a good-sized, quite active list.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

Joni and kids, incl. Gabriel, almost 9, Ds and autism, and Michaela, 11, spinner in purple wheels

No. Fortunately she has never had any issues associated with it. Sorry I can't be more help.
