We sometimes make a Kombucha flavor with peaches.
This always causes a Champagne like effect upon opening.
It can be messy, but not as messy as the bottle we forgot.
I was doing some extra cleaning, and found an e-z cap bottle that had been partly drunk and then resealed, and forgotten.
We think it had been there for a good month.
I had no inkling what was going to happen when I popped the top.
Lets just say it was LOUD and it took me a while to clean the stuff off the ceiling and lights.
We also had one bottle that had sat in the back of the car, out of site for a while.
I went to clean it out, and knowing that it could be messy, I held it top down over the sink.
That thing went off like a rifle, and shot out of my hands and across the room!
My ears were ringing for a bit after that
Needless to say, we are very careful in regards to emptying our bottles fully now
