Now that DD is 9 weeks old (already!) and life is getting back to normal, I wanted to check in here and say thank you. Thank you all for the wisdom, advice, information, and encouragement. Not only did this forum help me to decide on an HBAC, but it also helped me to gain enough information that I went into the birth feeling confident and well-informed.

After many hours of intense labor (water broke at 5:30 am, contractions started at 3:30pm, and baby was born the next day at 9:42 am), more pain than I could ever imagine, and the hardest work I've ever done in my life, I gave birth to a beautiful 10lb, 6oz baby girl at home on October 4, with the help of my 2 MW, doula, and my amazing DH. Being surrounded by all these people who cared about me, my birth, and my baby, and knowing that they trusted in the power of my body helped me to successfully birth my big gal.

So thank you to all the women in this forum. Without the information here, I never would have been able to have the wonderful birth that I did.
