We have a gratitude thread buried a few pages back, but thought today would be a great day to resurrect it. Join in, there aren't any rules other than that you smile while you write about a few things that you are grateful for today.

1. I am so ridiculously thankful for these girls. First time mamas, you are in for the BEST ride. Also, i never would have dared hope my girls would love each other as much as they do, and even though they have their moments, I know their bond is going to be one that lasts a lifetime. I am really looking forward to seeing them welcome and love their little sister.

2. My husband, who makes me laugh every day.

3. My circle of friends, who have truly become my "village". I am not a social person by nature, and i went a long time without people I trusted and could turn to not only when i was in crisis but also when i needed someone to happy dance with me. So, so lucky.

4. Pumpkin pie!

5. I am thankful that we have a new option for our house, which feels like another time when the Universe orchestrated something we could not have planned, but which benefits everyone involved.

6. That i do not have to cook today.

midwives, who i was trying to describe to a pre-parenting-adventure friend. it's hard! they are not like any other kind of person i've ever been in relationship with. they are like a mix of the best long-time friends you have and your mom, or something.

my sweet husband, best friend and the perfect support. can't wait for the birth and to be a dad!

healthy babies, for both myself and my sister only a few months apart.

cooperative families, who are willing to be flexible and work around holidays and babies just to be where we need them to at the right time.

being an early riser/morning person, so i can have quiet time, and time to reflect on everything i'm thankful for.

I am so very thankful for my wonderful family:

DS, who is a little man now and is the most compassionate and sensitive 7 year old I have ever met.

DD who's positive energy gets me motivated everyday, more than coffee And for her sweet cuddly nature and magnetic personality.

Peanut...for being healthy and not having the hiccups all night.

DH; It is insane how busy he is right now with work, yet he not only makes time for his kids and wife, but it is his number one priority. I love that I never feel neglected or overlooked, and that he whispers I love you to the kids more times a day than I can count.

The Dogs.....Thank you for not waking up at 5 am this morning so that I could sleep in.....and thank you for not licking the kids awake ( like they love to do).

Sleep....I know sleep will not last forever and I am so close to not being able to be comfortable at night...and then it will be like a distant memory once baby is here. So Thank you Thank you Thank you Sleep. I will miss you terribly next year.

Thank you Ivy Mae for posting this thread and giving me a chance to realize just how many things I have to be thankful for today

I am thankful for my two amazing girls and the little girl we have on the way. I never pictured myself as a mama to all girls, but I am over the moon excited about it!

I am thankful for a husband who is willing to help around the house, help with the kids, and is overall wonderful.

I am thankful that my family is, for the most part, supportive of our choices. And if they aren't, they've at least learned to keep their mouths shut about it.

I'm thankful that the drama at my job is settling down, and that there's a good chance I will be done working by Christmas, meaning that our children won't have to spend the entire day away from both of us, since DH is definitely working.

I am also thankful for simple pleasures, and for the challenges I am facing right now, because I know that they are helping me grow as a person.
