Missy,

I am a bit nervous about any prenatal care that I am going to receive. I am planning on reading all of my midwifery books again and put myself in a place where I have an active part in the birth.

I would love to be involved with groups. Unfortunately, most of them are meeting during the day. I can't go to those meetings until I stop working.. That will be when the baby is born. DH is already stressing about that too.

I am so new to the area that I hear stories about the old hospital. People talk about the new hospital and the older ones. I just don't know what to think right now with Pratt taking the town over. The OBGYN I was using went on a hospital forced leave and they would not give out any information. They still can't guarantee that she would be able to deliver in June. Those are not odds I am willing to take. At least I have nine months to find someone I like to deliver this baby.

What a mess, huh? My mil's ob/gyn kind of disappeared, too and she never got a straight answer--I wonder if it's the same one? I will still let you know if I get word of a good mid-wife in the area.
