Hi mamas....I'm back to cd'ing after a break....and I am looking over my stash...I have a little bit of everything (thanks to mylittlewonders ). I have two in diapers and get overwhelmed really really easily with organizing, sorting, washing, etc....so what do you think....flats or prefolds? Prefolds seem easier because they are quick, no folding, no sorting really....but flats are great too....What do you all prefer?? and why? Thanks mamas...

Hi! I personally found unbleached prefolds to absorb more efficiently! I think that they work great too. I usually use pocket diapers, but when we need to I whip out a prefold, cover and doubler - usually works just as good. I just love prefolds!!! :) Just my $0.02 :) And, I actually know someone who is looking to sell about a dozen unbleached infant india cotton prefolds - she has washed them, but never used them. Message me if you're interested!

I'd like to try some flats because of the quicker drying time, but my whole stash is prefolds right now. I think maybe flats would take more time to learn to fold, but you might be able to fit two different sized babes easier (and use the same dipes on BOTH!)

I just love both--flats are so fresh and clean, prefolds are so soft and fluffy--I can't wait until my baby comes so I can see which one I prefer to use in practice; then I can answer your question better.

I have and use both. Over the summer I've been suing the prefilds more as they came in form the line softer but now I've got to use the dryer I'm using the flats more as they dry so much faster.

I used to use both, and I've got both for the new babe. It would depend on what the flats were made from, I think...

I have used both. I prefer to use prefolds as my main diaper, and use the flats for inserts/vacation and traveling. I personally get tired of folding the flats after a couple of weeks of using them. The prefolds are just quicker for us.
