Not sure what's going on but I woke up at least 2 hours ago with cramps that could not be ignored and have not gone away. Constant cramping, not rhythmic contractions. But, uh, (sorry, TMI) loose bowels are also happening.

I'm not due for another two weeks and I assumed as this is my first I would go past my EDD (well, hoping I would, if you've read the Sagittarius v. Capricorn thread), so fingers crossed that this is just a warm up or that I ate something bad yesterday...

Well it could be either one! This is how I felt yesterday and so far, quite a bit today as well. I hope, since you do too, that it's just an upset tummy and you'll be feeling better soon!

I'm interested to hear what happens! I was having some of the same cramping keeping me up last night but now nothing and no plug yet. I was hoping for a cap too but I'm ready to be done!

A few weeks ago I had a ton of contractions and some loose bowels, but nothing came of it. Let us know how it turns out for you!

P.S. - I'm due around the same time as you, The Janet, and my husband is not-so-secretly hoping for a Sag, just like him. :)

Well...looks like it's just a stomach bug. And when I say "just" I mean "really awful and physically debilitating".

I'm trying not to vomit, trying to stay hydrated and trying to keep my temperature down.

Oh I'm so sorry. I had something similar 2 weeks ago. It was horrible. :( For me, it helped to vomit and sort of get it to move on, but staying hydrated was really difficult. I did start having a lot of strong contractions and had to call my midwife. She said that it is unusual for a body to go into labor when so ill because it wants to be healthy and well noursished for the process. So drink as you can, a bath will help a lot too, lots of rest. I hope you're feeling better soon!
