DD is a couple weeks shy of 6 months.

The challenging thing lately is the fact that I am her paci at night. Now mind you, for the most part it dosen't bother me. However, my arthritis is really flaring recently (I think b/c she's getting heavier thus putting more stress on my joints when carrying her) and well she's on the boob every hour to two during the night. So between her and my pain, well its rough. My other 2 never did this, they were non-flesh paci babes though .

I don't want to rush her out of this but I need some way of coping! To be honest ideally 4-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night would be fantastic. She will suck her thumb but that dosen't last long & she 'holds out' for the nipple and spits out any non-flesh pacis. She has had her bottom 2 incisors since a week shy of 4 months.

Suggestions, comments...the o'l standby "this shall pass" will do too...

My ds does the same thing when he is getting teeth. I guess it helps him feel better. I am like you and get really uncomfortable ( if I have my choice I am a stomach sleeper). It always helps me to remember that he is in pain and needs my comfort. And for me a pillow between my knees help me be more comfortable. It will pass - keep up the good work mama!
