When My ds was born we had to tell the doctors and nurses again and again that we didn't want him to get that first vaccine they usually give babys and assumed that they followed or wishes. Well the other day I was going though th hospital bag I brought home with us and in there was the little booklet they give you for vaccines and in it it says he received the vaccine.
I don't know what to do, I'm not even sure how to find out if he really received the vaccine or if he did how to go about people in trouble.
I would be most grateful for suggestions.

sounds like you need to consult a lawyer, because you are treading in some pretty murky, and probably rough, water.
my thoughts and best vibes are with you. I will be very anxious to hear how this turns out, and I do hope it was a mistake on the card and that he did not get a shot you specifically asked NOT to have administered.

If you have a pediatrician or family practitioner, they'll have a vaccine record on file for your child. Go to the office and demand to see your child's file - if the vax is on record there, he likely did receive it.

If you didn't sign for permission to vaccinate, that may be grounds for a lawsuit. If your sig isn't on the vax record, I'd be consulting a lawyer.

Get your hospitals. Care that is given for the baby is usually documented in mom's charts.

Get your records. They'll have to have the vaccine lot # in there if he did get it. They probably just sent that home with you filled out, because they do it for everyone. When DD got her first shots (we started out selective/delayed) we got only Hib, IPV and Prevnar. They gave us a book that was already filled out, dated and signed, before she even got any shots. It had her down as having received all 7 of the usual vaccines. I had to tell them exactly what to give her and make sure they were giving the right thing, before they did. They just had so many of those booklets ready to go, already filled out. That's probably what happened with your son. (I hope.)

I declined the hep B at birth for my second baby, but the stack of standard paperwork included the VIS for the vaccine. I asked the nurse "She didn't receive this, did she?" The answer was no, that it is just a packet of info they send home with every parent. She was only gone while the pedi examined her in my dh's presence, but I needed to make sure.
