Has anyone seen the Christmas trees at the GAP and Baby GAP? Dh and I took ds to the mall tonight to walk around and ride the carousel and as I was walking past the GAP, dh pointed out their tree. It has big styro-foam balls wrapped in yarn and knitted scarves decorating it. They are the cutest thing, I may have to take some of the little leftover balls and make some of my own.

Anyway, we decided to let ds see Santa while we were there. And I hear him telling Santa all about the yarn ball Christmas tree and how pretty it was. Good to know my love of yarn is rubbing off on him.

Ha! We have one here too and I was admiring it just a couple of days ago.

I thought about doing that to our tree, but I think I'd go with smaller balls, assuming Dh doesn't roll his eyes at me...:

I saw that too! I thought it would be a good way to use up my non-wool scraps (we make small felt balls with the wool!). I'll have to remember it for next year!
