<p>My ultrasound is tomorrow at 11:45am! I am so excited, but also very, very nervous! I will be 9W6D tomorrow, and I am so scared there will be no baby in there. </p>
<p>Had my OB consult today - which was just sitting in an office giving a lot of information back and forth. But I am so happy I voiced my concerns about not having an ultrasound yet and having had 2 prior miscarriages-- she scheduled me for one right away!</p>

<p>Had another appointment today and I heard the baby's heartbeat on the doppler! 148 bpm 
</p>
<p>They also booked my anatomy scan for Sept. 6th, which seems so far away right now. I can't wait to see the baby again.</p>

<p>How'd it go, JMD? Glad to hear that you were able to get an u/s scheduled and hope you are feeling calm and happy after seeing the little bean. </p>

<p>I have my nuchal translucency scan on 8/4 and am really looking forward to seeing the baby again. I keep reimagining the u/s image from my appt last week. I wish I had a picture; it was so cool to see all those real baby parts moving about! Can't wait to actually hear the heartbeat though-- should be at my appt in late Aug.</p>

<p>jmd, i am so sorry. i had a blighted ovum then another early loss before conceiving this bean. i had a d & e and it was actually not horrible at all. if you've had other losses i think you might find it better physically and possibly mentally. (((((hugs))))) it's an awful feeling to see that empty screen. i hope your recovery is fast.</p>

<p>JMD, I am so very sorry. My heart just dropped through my stomach reading your update. I had a missed miscarriage with my first pregnancy (baby did not develop past 9.5 weeks) and had a D&C when I did not miscarry for several weeks afterwards. The procedure was quick and my recovery was very fast with very little bleeding. It was very helpful for me in the healing process, both physically and emotionally. I wish you nothing but the best. <img alt="hug2.gif" src="http://files.mothering.com/images/smilies/hug2.gif"></p>

<p>Apart from going to the ER for fluids I have only had a consultaion with my midwife at the Birth Center, no check up yet. I was scheduled for a Ultrasound today but it got rescheduled for August 10th! I have Hyperememsis so I just want to make sure there is just one babe in there becuase it has been suggested to me by several people incuding doctors and my midwife that my extreme morning sickness might be due to a multiple pregancy.There are no twins in either of our families so it would be a real trip! It would also be great to see that the baby is well despite how sick I am.</p>

<p>So I had a visit with an OB yesterday, I want to have some CYA visits and also records for proof of pregnancy, planning on ending care around 20 weeks. The doctor was nicey nice but ohmygoodnplenty. No Dr. Atthenearestkaiserfacility you can not tell me how much to gain, where I will birth, and what risks are appropriate for me. But thanks for your concern! If my body needs to gain 50lbs then so be it, I will birth at home, and there is nothing for me that make the hospital safer. Have a nice day. There was a lot of head nodding and smiling on part!</p>

<p>I heard my baby's heart on a doppler! After being kicked in the stomach a few times by my son and some very faint spotting a few weeks ago, I was getting a little worried-and we were planning on telling our parents the news this weekend. I have a doppler from my first pregnancy and was able to find the heartbeat yesterday (10 weeks) at a nice rate of 173. I only used it for about 45 seconds, just long enough to find the heart and calculate the beats, I worry about overuse of dopplers. I have my regularly scheduled Midwife appointment on Tuesday. They want to do my yearly Pap, but I am considering declining. I had abnormal Paps YEARS ago (normal though for the past 5ish years), and don't want pregnancy to give me a false abnormal and stress me out, or lead to extra poking and proding of my cervix. </p>

<p>I FINALLY got to hear my baby's healthy heartbeat yesterday during my appointment with my midwife (10w 2d)!!! It was between 145-155 BPM. We even got to see the baby on her portable ultrasound machine. I couldn't believe how much the baby was moving around! It was wiggling and kicking its legs and moving its head around on its little neck.... I think I'm in LOVE, hahaha! <img alt="joy.gif" src="http://files.mothering.com/images/smilies/joy.gif"></p>

<p>Now I have an appointment with my OB on Monday (another u/s I'm sure) and then will have my preventative cerclage placed (cervical stitch) on August 26th (14 weeks). So hopefully between now and then, this sweet baby will continue to grow healthy and strong</p>
